Ms. Osborne is working with Tamia B. Santana and Kayleigh Doremus…….. creating a suite of dances called “These are for Lee” (working title.) Set to the Brahms waltzes, op. 39, they will be a montage of duets, trios, quartets and solos, creating a blend of nostalgia, fast energy and graceful introspection.
Lee Fuller, dancer and choreographer, created a suite to the Brahms waltzes in 1993, which were performed in January of 1994 at a fundraising concert at the Brooklyn Music School. Robin Osborne was one of the principal dancers in this piece, inspiring much of Mr. Fuller’s choreography.
This new work will be a tribute to Lee Fuller who died in 1996.
